Okay you guys have probably read that i was going to run the cooper and i had pretty high expectations...but guess what?

I WON!!!! not my age group or something small time like that...im talking about the whole thing...out of the 38,600 people i was number one. And the photo to the left proves it...you can see the #1 as clear as day...
this was taken as we started our final kick to the finish...it was a battle but i got him at the line...

First of all, i would like to thank my family, my supporters and God, without you all I couldnt have dont it...this one was for you!

Okay, maybe i exaggerated...I did not win and that is not me in the photo, i know, hard to believe...The guys about finish in about 28 minutes or so...that is something in the area of a 4:30 mile...My goal for this year was to try to match my last years time of 1 hr 4mins 11 seconds. I trained for like 4 days for this years run so i wasnt expecting much...I did not meet my goal...I finished in a tortoiselike 1hr and 9mins, which put me in 16,724 place out of 38,600. and 1,711th in my age class, not good...
On a positive note, Lucy did great! She of course beat me and finished in a time of 1hr 5mins 12 seconds. just two months after doing the baby birth thing! not bad...that put her in 14,050th place and 1,397 in her age group...Great job love!
My dad also ran it and he did great for a really old guy! He ran it in 1hr 19mins 46 seconds, which was good enough for 21,025th and 557th in his age group.

it was a great experience as always but i really would like to do better for next year...my eventual goal is to finish under 1 hour and conquer that demon of a bridge...

So normally you would finish the cooper right and chill for the rest of the day right? that would have been much to easy for us...so we drove back to pinewood and had a baby shower, which was amazing, even though we were pretty beat and ready to get back home. Maclaren got lots of new clothes and toys and such but he got two amazing items.
